DBAC AGENDA SEPTEMBER 1st 2026:

I’d like to bring our Downtown Business Advisory Committee together for a quick check-in as we head into a busy fall season and continue planning ahead for downtown.

Please join us:

Tuesday, September 1
9:30 AM
Via Zoom

A few items I’d like us to discuss:

  • Autumn Festival October 10/11– Updates and planning for this year’s festival, including activity in Market Square and extending programming up State Street.
  • Chocolate Tour – October 3 – Updates on this year’s Chocolate Tour, downtown business participation, and opportunities to build awareness and foot traffic around the event.
  • Parklets & 2027 Ordinance – Discussion around the removal of parklets and what the proposed 2027 ordinance could mean for our downtown restaurants and businesses.
  • Witches Night Out October 16– Plans, participation, promotion, and opportunities to drive traffic downtown.

*Restaurant Week – Exploring the idea of bringing back or developing a Restaurant Week and what timing and format would make the most sense for our restaurants.

This is also an opportunity to hear from all of you about what you’re seeing downtown, upcoming concerns, and anything the Chamber should be supporting or advocating for as we move into the fall and holiday seasons.

I hope you can join us. Please RSVP.

Please RSVP  to Vice President, Tom Rosa at trosa@newburyportchamber.org or President, Nancy Caswell at hello@newburyportchamber.org if you're interested in joining us.  Thank you for your continued leadership and engagement.
