Paul Hogg, the Newburyport Harbormaster, and Maren Olsen, Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries Angler Education Program to put on a kids fishing clinic in May.
The maximum number is 35 kids to keep it manageable. A parent/guardian is required to be there with their child(ren) and to reserve a spot, they must fill out the required registration form (attached). We’ve put on 2 fishing clinics in past years, both in Yarmouth, and they really are a fun day for the kids and parents. We bring a few tents/tables and do fish print activities, teach them to cast, tie knots, measure fish, and the kids go home with some educational/outreach goodies.
