Event Description:

Don’t miss The Chicken Slacks on stage, in a rare Newburyport performance, at Pennies for Poverty’s Music for Change fundraiser on November 3rd at the Elks Lodge in Newburyport. The Chicken Slacks, a popular 7-piece R&B band based in Boston, are known for energetic, non-stop music inspired by classic STAX, Motown, and Muscle Shoals recordings of the ‘60s and ‘70s as well as funk classics and a few gems from New Orleans. Starting at 6:30, the evening will offer a selection of appetizers and desserts catered by For the Love of Food and Drink, large silent and live auctions and a cash bar.
